Glossary

ActivStats has a rich glossary, linked with hypertext links throughout the Lesson Book and Asterisk extensions. Glossary terms appear in color and underlined. A mouse click on the term opens the Glossary to it's definition. Because many statistics terms are defined by using still other statistics terms, the Glossary itself holds hypertext links to other terms. The return arrow traces back through any digression. In addition, the ActivStats Glossary is context sensitive. Requests for definitions often reflect the specific example or application under discussion at the source location, making the definition more appropriate and applicable.

The ActivStats Glossary links to the Index. A click on the i button opens the Index to the corresponding term. You can thus easily find a term in context, click to read its definition, click again to see where else it is discussed, and click once more to view another discussion.
