LINDO is used at thousands of
businesses, colleges, universities and
government agencies around the world. It is a
versatile tool for solving linear, integer,
and quadratic programming problems. You can
use LINDO's interactive modeling environment
to easily build and solve optimization
problems, or you can plug the powerful LINDO
optimization engine into an application that
you have created.
Principal
Characteristics
Friendly for Beginners
If you're a novice, you'll
appreciate how easy LINDO is to learn and use.
The Windows version provides an intuitive
modeling environment with pull-down menus, a
handy toolbar, and a full featured model
editor. Problems can be expressed in a simple,
straightforward equation style. LINDO comes
with everything you need to get started
quickly. LINDO provides clear, useful on-line
help for all commands, so you can learn as you
build your model. The User's Manual thoroughly
explains LINDO's commands and features. We
even include a textbook to teach you the
expert's modeling techniques you'll need. It's
full of real-world based examples in finance,
distribution, product mix, production
planning, resource allocation and more.

Powerful for Professionals
If you're already an expert
at optimization, you'll be impressed by
LINDO's power and robustness. It's
state-of-the-art solver has the speed and
capacity to solve your large scale linear and
integer models. LINDO has all of the advanced
commands and features you need for model
input, editing, solution, display, logical
data inquiry, file handling, and sensitivity
analysis.
Lindo DLL
LINDO also supplies a comprehensive set of
tools for application developers. Windows
developers will love the DLL version of LINDO.
It allows you to seamlessly integrate the
LINDO solver into your Windows application
written in Visual Basic, C/C++ or any language
that supports DLL calls. Workstation users can
exploit the linkable object libraries to hook
the solver engine to applications written in
FORTRAN or C. Distribution of applications
that call the LINDO solver requires separate
licensing. Contact LINDO Systems for more
information.
